EcoSOAR™ technology reduces diesel and PCB, and raises dissolved oxygen levels

A recent report by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers shows promising results in reducing diesel and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) water pollutants with the KRIA Ionizer with EcoSOAR™ technology. This report builds on previous studies, which confirmed the KRIA Ionizer’s effectiveness in
reducing cyanobacteria and its toxin, microcystin.

The ionizer creates superoxide and injects it into the water column to break down pollutants while simultaneously raising dissolved oxygen levels.

The Corps’ report on diesel and PCB found the KRIA Ionizer’s superoxide:

  • Removed 58 percent of diesel after 72 hours of operation.
  • Removed 85 percent of the PCB Arochlor 1254 after 72 hours of operation, 20 percent higher than the control.
  • Increased dissolved oxygen (DO) levels to over 300 percent.
  • Improved oxygenation (DO), which will help combat algal blooms in small lakes, ponds and wetlands; fight potential septic in wastewater lagoons; and treat water contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons.
